Last Public Speaking event

We had a magnificent speaker last Friday afternoon. Senator Vicki McDonald came to visit us, and speak with us about recent events. Some recent events she addressed were the immigration tuition bill, concealed weapon law, minimum wage, increase in senator's pay, term limits, and increase in urban senators. As well as drugs and achohol. She presented herself very elegantly. She stood about 5 feet right in front of her audience to keep them involved. She used great body motions and hand signals to get her point across. I really enjoy listening to people speak, and hear their views are certain things. I love to compare myself to them, and ask, "what would I be doing if I were in their shoes right now", "would I handle this different, if so, How", and then see how my views compare to theirs later on in life. I find it interesting how my views compare to theirs.

Recently

Well, its about that time. Time to head on off to college. I have yet to decide where the heck I am going. Anybody have any pointers on how to pick a good college? I'm sure all ears... Well nothin much has been happening to me lately. A real good friend of mine's father died saturday, so that is a little heart breaking. Its hard to see him upset, cuz he is such a happy go lucky, optimistic guy. He's the stud. haha... But otherwise, track season is wrapping up, and I'm out with a leg injury right now, kinda sucks, but I'm gunna try and run for districts... Well I hope the summer goes great for all of you, thank you for taking the time to learn a little bit about me, its been great. Buh byes

Past Speaking Events

I went to the state speech tournament two weeks ago. I saw an awesome duet about this annoying guy talking to his therapist about being annoying. He annoys her to insanity. They were just a really fun group to watch. Another one was about the dallas cheerleaders. That speech wasnt very good. He stumbled over alot of his words, and lost his place.

Upcomming Events

There are a few upcomming events that are planned for us to see. We are going to kearney to listen to Rep. Osborne talk next monday I think. We will also listen to Joe Hannaple speak.

Longtime No See

Well lets see, I guess were supposed to be blogging about our intro experiance. I actually found it harder to create than to present because I like so many different things, and couldnt narrow it down to just one. I did find it somewhat difficult, however presenting infront of the camera. It didnt seem as meaningful as presenting in person. It was nice, because if you messed up, you could redo. You dont have redos in life. But I guess Thats all I have to say for now. Untill next time.

Hey Hey, Hows everybody doin? Hopefully pretty well. I'll tell you a little bit about myself. I'm a senior at Spalding High School. I'm a pretty busy guy. Basketball and school take up most of my time. We played a pretty tough Elgin Pope John team last night. They werent as good as they have been in the past, but they were still a good ball club. We took them into overtime. We lost by an upsetting 3 pts. I had 22 points, 9 rebounds, and was 8 for 8 from the free throw line. We lost but we played really well. Other than basketball, I also play football, and run Track.
Next year is still up in the air. I'm thinking about going to Creighton, Wesleyan, or UNL. I'm not sure what I'm gunna Major in, but right now I am thinking Psychology, and minoring in Pre Med. I guess I'll figure it out when the time comes. Anyhow, We've gotta go practice our OID for speech, so have a good day. Talk to you laterz,
Brad
